From a Marine Wife.

My name is Nickie and I am the wife of a US Marine and older sister of a Army Solider who are both currently serving our country in Iraq.  It touched my heart to know that there are people out there who take the time to recognize the sacrafice that we as military families make everyday.  Your donation to the herobracelet organization is truly awesome!  Just earlier this month I ordered bracelets for myself and my husbands mother and I plan to order a bracelet for my mother to where in honor o...

My Hero. My Son. SGT Michael C. Barkey

As a gold star parent the most important thing is my son never be forgotten.  We know people go on with their lives just as we have had to but our lives will never be the same without Mike.  Knowing people think and honor this sacrifice means more than you will ever know.  Your patriotism is much appreciated. God bless you for your generosity. With great appreciation, Julie Barkey Proud Mom of Sgt. Michael C. Barkey KIA July 7th 2004 Ar Ramadi , I

It’s the most excrusiating pain imaginable, that us, the Gold Star Families, have had to endure, with the loss of our Precious Son, or Daugthers. Adopt a Soldier.

I have volunteered with the troops since the war began.I myself lost a very dear friend in Iraq in 2005.Life will never be the same. His sacrifice along with all of the other men and women should never be forgotten nor taken for granted. I think it is a wonderful way of teaching your children all about the ultimate sacrifice so many have made and so many will make. If I may add, please have your boys write to Soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan. You can adopt a Soldier or a unit by going to http://...

My Hero. My Husband.

Not all families endure and understand what sacrifices that a military family has to make when their loved one is deployed. My husband is currently serving his 4th tour in Iraq and I am sure there will be more deployments. Our eleven year old daughter has to come understand that every other year for the last 5 to 6 years, her father has been deployed to Iraq for 12 to 15 months and will be home with us for maybe 8 to 12 months (if we are lucky). Hero Bracelets has been a BIG support for me an...

Our Heroes. Our Sons. Cpl Jimmy L. Shelton & PFC Burgess Shelton, Jr.

Our soldiers understand the cost of freedom…they know it is not free. They give so unselfishly to protect these freedoms and to insure others have that freedom. My son gave his life willing…he knew he may not come home….but he had to get the bad guys. He helped the Iraqi people have freedom. Did my son die in vain as some say about this war? No way! I taught my two sons, like you, from an early age about the cost of freedom. The honor of serving this great USA. My other son is currently servi...
